this painting symbolizes me that the jungle is so much more than just shades of green.

i think of the sounds, the scents, the feeling of warm air on my skin, and the sense of freedom and aliveness that seemed to exist everywhere. there is a endless variety of plants, colors, and forms. some are visible at first glance, while others remain hidden deep beneath the surface.

perhaps the jungle reminds us of ourselves.

there are parts of us that are easy to see, and others that remain hidden. parts we are proud of, and parts we would rather keep in the shadows.

and yet, they all belong.

just as the jungle would not be complete without its darker shades, neither would we.
