this painting was almost finished.

at the time, it had already become one of my favorite pieces. i had also experimented with the fluid painting technique here, and a small part of it is still visible in the bottom right corner of the canvas. and yet, the painting kept speaking to me. even though i loved it, i knew it was not yet what my heart wanted to express. something inside me wanted to keep going.

one morning, i picked up pink, green, and white paint and covered large parts of the canvas without knowing where that decision would lead.what emerged was not what i had originally planned. it became something that felt far more alive. far more like me.

i am grateful that i trusted my intuition in that moment, even though it meant changing something i already loved. not because the new version would necessarily be better, but because it felt more true.

brave wilderness symbolizes that our intuition sometimes invites us to let go of something that already feels good in order to move closer to what is truly meant for us.

sometimes the bravest thing is not starting over, but changing something we already love.

a reminder to have the courage to grow beyond our own expectations.
